Refund Policy

Effective date: August 28, 2026 — Apten Inc.

Perimeter is a monthly subscription service with no long-term contract. This policy explains when and how refunds are handled.

Cancel anytime

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the account page or by emailing thomas@thomaspeng.ca. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to monitoring and alerts for the remainder of the period you have already paid for. No further charges are made after cancellation.

Cancellation does not automatically delete your account or your saved baselines and alert history. Those are retained and available if you resubscribe.

Prorated and goodwill refunds

We do not automatically issue prorated refunds when you cancel mid-period — the month runs to its natural end. However, if something went wrong on our side (a billing error, a charge after you already cancelled, a service outage that materially affected monitoring), email thomas@thomaspeng.ca and we will make it right.

As a general goodwill policy: if you were charged recently and the subscription is not working for your use case, email us within 14 days of the charge. We will review the request and issue a full or partial refund at our discretion. We would rather you leave satisfied than keep money for a service that didn't deliver value.

How to request a refund

Email thomas@thomaspeng.ca with:

  • The email address on your Perimeter account
  • The approximate date of the charge
  • A brief description of the issue

We will respond within two business days. Refunds are processed through the payments broker and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

Non-refundable cases

  • Charges older than 14 days where no service fault occurred
  • Accounts suspended for violation of the acceptable-use terms
